12.12.2025 Can energy channeled in the right direction work wonders, and where do scientists and artists seek inspiration from? These and other questions were discussed by the guests of the new episode of the Vyzov Sophiko programme: opera singer, People's Artist of Russia Ildar Abdrazakov, and physicist, VYZOV Prize laureate Sergey Taskaev.
Ildar Abdrazakov is convinced that music possesses a special power that brings people together. He spoke about what artists and scientists have in common: “I believe that both people of science and people of art are creators. Scientists make discoveries in their field, and we do in ours. If science and art come together as one, then a synthesis of something very alive and genuine occurs. I discovered many things for myself in the programme, I learned about what is happening in science today. Sergey is, of course, an extraordinary person: simple in spirit, yet brilliant at the same time.”
Sergey Taskaev noted that he developed a passion for physics quite early and started teaching while still in school. He shared his impressions of the filming: “I am overwhelmed with emotions. Once I had the chance to attend a concert at Zaryadye where Ildar was singing, and I was blown away. The fact that I was invited to take part in a programme with him is an honour and a pleasure for me. Although I believe that science is an art, I count myself among creators with a bit of a stretch. Nevertheless, Ildar and I have a lot in common: we are striving to do something useful and right. And we are succeeding.”
Sophiko Shevardnadze, the author and host of the Vyzov Sophiko project, emphasized that every episode of the show has its own magic, and that magic also happened in the tandem of Ildar Abdrazakov and Sergey Taskaev: “Ildar shared many life hacks about breathing and about how singing helps recharge one’s energy. And Sergey talked about how to channel energy in the right direction. We came to the conclusion that the main thing is to trust nature and let go of control. Today I am leaving with new ideas and energy, because we talked about it a lot today. I hope that all our viewers will feel the same.”
